ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

Mert Karaibrahimoğlu
CEO, Penti

Mert Karaibrahimoğlu was born in Istanbul in 1974 and graduated from Kultur University Department of BA. He has worked in the retail sector as a professional and an entrepreneur in Turkey and England for more than 30 years. He has undertaken top management positions in domestic and global brands such as Arcadia Brands, Starbucks, Best Buy and Komşufırın. Karaibrahimoğlu has joined Penti Giyim A.S. as VP - Retail and eCommerce in 2013 and was assigned as Retail Group President 2 years later. Since 2017, he continues to execute the CEO position and carries out board membership positions at Category Storekeepers Association and TOBB Turkish Retailing Council Member. Karaibrahimoğlu is married and has 2 children; he believes that cooperation, similar to family life, should reflect the companies' management philosophy.

Niyazi Erdoğan
Designer, Company

After completing his degree in architecture at Istanbul Technical University in 1999, Niyazi Erdogan made it to the ITAEA Young Fashion Designers Competition finals in 2003. Between 2009 and 2014, he made collections for world-renowned brands like Zara, Esprit, Pull&Bear, Tommy Hilfiger under the name of a company called Eroni was both a partner and design director. He also presented collections in Istanbul Fashion Week under his name. Niyazi Erdogan is one of the select designers of Istanbul Fashion Incube, Turkey's first centre for fashion entrepreneurship that professionally supports promising designers. His NIYO bag designs were made out of traditional Turkish garments in collaboration with the Bayburt Bakhsı Museum, a museum awarded with the European Museum award in 2014.

Ceylan Atınç
Fashion Director and Stylist, Company

Ceylan Atınç completed her Bachelor's Degree in Political Science at Bilkent University. She studied marketing at Berkeley University and then Styling at the London School of Fashion. She has worked as Fashion Editor at Marie Claire Magazine and L'Officiel Magazine Turkey as Fashion Director. Ceylan, who is currently the Fashion Director of Vogue Turkey, continues to provide styling training within Vakko Esmod and style consulting to brands and famous names.

Argun Ersen
International Business Development Director & Country Manager (Turkey), MySize

Argun Erşen graduated from Ankara Hacettepe University Faculty of Business Administration Department of Economics in 1985. He has 25 years of sales experience in the retail sector and 10 years of experience in the ADC market Distribution & Vendor side. Argun Erşen has worked in many managerial positions for international companies and in various IBM company positions for 9 years. As well as Business development in new countries and markets. Erşen is experienced in representing channel development for foreign companies such as Carrefour, METRO Cash & Carry, DIA, Best Buy, Mars Entertainment, as well as procurement of products and services, Decathlon, Coca-Cola, Procter & Gamble, Praktiker, IKEA, Harvey Nichols, M&S, GAP, Banana Republic, Turkcell and Vodafone. Currently, Erşen is the Country Manager responsible for sales in Europe, Middle East, and Asia at MySize Inc. His responsibilities include business development in a new country or region and expanding MySize Inc internationally. Additionally, he deals with the launch, development, and management of local service/product offerings from production to marketing on distribution networks.
